The following is the basic process for my web design services.
Idea-
The web design process begins with the idea stage. The main concepts are constructed and gathered and the target market is researched. Theme is developed for the web presence based on branding strategy and marketing goals. Bandwidth, accessibility and usability are addressed. Appropriate technologies for use in the website development are decided upon.
Sketch-
The next stage is the sketch stage. Notes and information are taken and processed into visual elements with pen and paper. Brainstorming takes place and common ideas are quickly developed to remove them from the creative process allowing more deeply creative and original ideas to present themselves.
Map-
In this stage of design, the information layout and design of the website is developed. Navigation as well as a site map is fully developed and laid out.
Design-
The design stage of the development process is where the sketches, notes and ideas are brought into digital format. Appropriate design programs are fired up for the first time in the process. Site layout and all elements are designed and optimized for the web.
Build-
This is where the website turns into a workable project. The designs are built into html, css, javascript, php, xml, and flash, depending on the ideas developed in the idea stage.
Refine-
Once the website is working properly, it is tested for usability and correct browser rendering. Three major browsers are used to test the site; Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer. Navigation is tested to insure all links are correctly mapped and working.
Delivery-
This is the last stage of the process in which the final product is delivered. Delivery can be implemented as a .rar or .zip file of the project, or uploaded to a server for instant propagation.
